Algeria legislative elections 2017: List of candidates from Tamanrasset, Tebessa, Tlemcen; Current deputies

Algiers, May 3: Elections for the Lower House of Parliament in Algeria will be held on May 4, 2017. Polling will be held across the 48 wilayas (provinces) for the 462 assembly seats. From Tebessa, Tamanrasset and Tlemcen, the major political parties have submitted their lists of candidates. The primary electoral contest in the three wilayas is between The National Liberation Front (FLN), National Democratic Rally (RND) and Green Algeria Alliance, led by Movement for Society and Peace (MSP) or Hamas.

The Tebessa wilaya in total have 12 districts and 28 communes with a population of around 648,703.This wilaya represent a total of 8 seats in the National Assembly.Tamanrasset consist of 7 districts and 10 communes with a total population of around 176,637.This province constitutes in total 5 seats.Tlemcen possess 20 districts and 53 communes with a population summing up to 949,135 and this wilaya comprises of total 13 seats.

The election campaign ran from April 9 to April 30 in which around 4734 public meeting spaces were reserved across the country for campaigning. Public spaces were also reserved for campaign posters.
