Algeria legislative elections 2017: List of candidates from Illizi, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Boumerdes; Current deputies

Algiers, May 3: Election across 48 wilayas for 462 assembly seats in the Lower house of Parliament would be held on 4th May,2017. Political parties have submitted their list of candidates from Illizi, Bordj Bou Arreridj and Boumerdes. The major political parties which will battle for the seats in the National assembly from these three provinces are National Liberation Front (FLN), National Democratic Rally (RND) and Front of the Socialist Forces.

Illizi province consist of 3 districts and 6 communes with the meagre population of around 52,333 only. Illizi has 6 seats in the National assembly. Bordj Bou Arreridj comprises of 10 districts and 34 communes with the population of 628,475.Bordj Bou Arreridj has 10 seats. Boumerdes wilaya has 9 districts and 32 communes with the population of 802,083.Boumerdes has 10 seats under its belly for the National Assembly.

Polling stations will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. In exceptional cases, the opening and closing time of some polling stations can be altered for the benefit of the voter,but only a governor can issue such a decree following authorization from the minister of interior and local government.
